Korea's total population is expected to fall nearly 30% from 51 million last year to 37 million in 50 years.

The National Statistical Office predicts that the domestic population will decrease to around 60,000 annually over the next 10 years, reducing to 51.2 million by 2030 and 37 million by 2070, the level of 1979 population.

The production age population is expected to fall from 37 million in 2020 to 3.57 million over 10 years, falling to 17 million by 2070.

On the other hand, it was analyzed that the number of elderly people aged 65 or older will exceed 10 million by 2024 and increase to 17 million by 2070.

As a result, it is estimated that the number of people who need to support 100 people in production age will exceed 100 in 2056 and increase to 117 in 2070.
